Center Valley, PA (October 1, 2013) – Junior Alyssa Malatesta got the Bulldogs on the board first but Arcadia University scored four unanswered goals in the game to earn a 4-1 win over DeSales University in a non-conference game Tuesday afternoon.

Malatesta gave DSU (3-6) a 1-0 lead 12:08 into the game when she took control of a rebound in front of the goalie and pushed home a shot.  It was her second goal of the season.

The lead stood into the 28th minute when the Knights tied the game on a goal from Katrina Dull off a feed from Taylor Dalisera.  AU scored exactly five minutes later when Debbie Wolfe scored off a rebound giving Arcadia 2-1 lead into the half.

The game remained a one-goal affair until the 57:08 mark when Wolfe scored again off a rebound and Laura Squicciarini provided the final tally with her first goal of the season with just 23 seconds left.

Sophomore Becky Rasmuson made four stops in the loss.

DSU returns to action on Thursday when they travel to Immaculata University for a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
