Dallas, PA (October 22, 2013) – The DeSales University men's soccer team got itself back into the playoff hunt with an important road win as a first-half goal by freshman Isaac Mohr was good enough for a 1-0 win at Misericordia University in Freedom Conference action on Tuesday evening.

The Bulldogs (8-9, 2-3 Freedom) snap a four-match losing streak with the win, while the Cougars drop to 10-5 overall and 3-2 in the Freedom.  MU out-shot the Bulldogs, 21-6, in the game but junior Colin Sulpizio was up to the task recording his fourth shutout of the season with 11 saves.

DSU's goal came in the 22nd minute when sophomore Nick Ciarleglio chased down a long pass down the left sideline, made a move around a defender and sent a centering pass into the box where Mohr hit a diving header into the net for the game's lone goal.

The Bulldogs have two very important Freedom Conference games left in the season including the final regular season home game on Saturday when they host Delaware Valley College beginning at 2:30 pm.
