Center Valley, PA (October 26, 2013) – Senior
Taylor Batciscs made her presence felt in her first game back since September 11th, scoring the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Delaware Valley College in Freedom Conference action on Saturday afternoon.
The win moves the Bulldogs back to .500 for the season at 7-7-3 and 1-4-1 in the Freedom Conference. DSU dominated play all afternoon, out-shooting the Aggies, 28-1, for the game and had several chances in both halves hitting the post twice and seeing DVC's (4-12-2, 1-4-1 Freedom) keeper make several impressive saves to keep it a one-goal game.
Batcsics entered the game in the 42nd minute of the first-half and scored just 1:38 later. Junior
Alyssa Brandt earned the assist on the play, heading a long pass over the top to Batcsics who was streaking in on the back side and narrowly beat the GK to the ball, touching a slow rolling shot towards the net that narrowly crossed the line before the Aggie defense could clear it.
Junior
Michelle Churchman earned her fifth shutout of the season making just one save and bolstered by a strong back line led by freshman
Esther Younger, seniors
Melissa Pugliese and
Lydia Younger, junior
Emily DeOliveira, and senior

The Bulldogs return to action next Saturday when they travel to King's College for the final Freedom Conference game of the season beginning at 4:00 pm.
