Wilkes-Barre, PA (November 2, 2013) – King's College broke a scoreless tie in the 76th minute and added an insurance tally just four minutes later earning the fourth and final Freedom Conference playoff spot with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs on Saturday evening.

The Bulldogs (9-10, 3-4 Freedom) see their season come to a close with the loss.  A scoreless game thru the first 75 minutes was broken when the Monarchs' Chris Nygren scored off a rebound of a saved shot by junior goalkeeper Colin Sulpizio.

King's added the insurance goal just 4:17 later on a deflection of a one-timer scored by Ritchie Reyes as the Monarchs, who only need a tie entering the game, held off any late rallies by the Bulldogs en route to the 2-0 victory.

Sulpizio finished the game with five saves as DSU was out-shot 16-2 with both teams attempting three corner kicks.
