Bethlehem, PA (August 31, 2013) – Moravian College broke a scoreless tie in the 56th minute scoring the lone goal of the game sending DeSales University to a 1-0 loss in the 2013 season opener on Saturday afternoon.

Moravian's Catherine Duffin scored on a tap-in off a saved shot at 55:42.  Moravian out-shot the Bulldogs, 16-7, and held a 10-5 edge in penalty corners as the series between the two team's moves to 6-4 in favor of the Greyhounds with the home team winning the annual meeting in all 10 career meetings.

DSU did have a stroke awarded during the game but junior Rachel Wysocky was denied on the attempt.  Sophomore Becky Rasmuson was terrific in goal, making 12 saves in the loss.

DeSales returns to action on Wednesday, September 4th when they travel to Albright College for a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
