Box Score
Radnor, PA (September 11, 2013) – Senior
Brett Morris scored just 1:51 after Cabrini had tied the game at one helping the DeSales University men's soccer team earn its first win of the 2013 season, 2-1 at Cabrini College on Wednesday evening.
After a scoreless first-half that saw just three combined shots by the two teams, the second-half was much more offensive as the two combined for 20 shots.
DSU scored first just 5:25 into the second half when freshman
Wes Frebel netted his second goal of the season, an unassisted marker staking the Bulldogs to a 1-0 lead.
That lead stood into the 81st minute when the Cavaliers scored on a goal from
Kyle Chevalier but DeSales wasted no time reclaiming the lead and eventually the win as Morris took a pass from sophomore
Stevie Castellani and scored his first goal of the season.
Junior
Colin Sulpizio made five saves to earn the win in between the pipes.
DeSales will look to make it two wins in a row on Saturday when they return home to host Immaculata University beginning at 3:00 pm.
