Center Valley, PA (September 18, 2013) – Six different players recorded five or more kills as the DeSales University volleyball team swept Delaware Valley College, 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-22), in the 2013 Freedom Conference season opener on Wednesday night in Billera Hall.

Freshman Lauren Hess led the way with a match-high 12 kills and added two blocks.  Senior Madeline Svrcek totaled nine kills, two blocks, and 10 digs, freshman Arielle Nicholson finished with six kills, and senior Emilie Baker, senior Macy Farrell, and junior Chrissy Banos each had five kills in the win.

Banos also tallied a team-high four blocks, junior Amanda Wallitsch had a match-high tying 18 digs, and freshman Lisa Wallitsch finished with 35 assists and eight digs.

The Bulldogs return to action this weekend when they travel to the NYU Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
