Center Valley, PA (September 28, 2013) – LVC's Garth Stefan spoiled the DeSales University men's soccer team's homecoming scoring an unassisted goal from an impossible angle in the 97th minute of the first overtime leading the Flying Dutchmen to a 1-0 win over the Bulldogs on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon.

LVC (6-2-2) controlled play for most of the final 51:24 out-shooting DSU (5-5), 11-3, in the second half and in overtime en route to the win, snapping the Bulldogs five-game winning streak.

In the 97th minute LVC found the game-winner as a crossing pass into the box was barely headed to the back post by a Bulldog defender where Stefan was waiting.  He took two touches around a DSU defender and hit a lofted shot just inside the near post in the upper 90 past a stunned Bulldog keeper ending the game.

LVC finished the game with a 22-8 edge in shots and had a slight 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.  Junior Colin Sulpizio made five saves for DeSales.

DSU will return to action on Tuesday, October 1st when they travel to Albright College for a non-conference game starting at 7:30 pm.
