Dallas, PA (November 5, 2014) – Misericordia University scored twice early and three more times in the second-half to hand the DeSales University field hockey team a 5-0 loss in the opening round of the Freedom Conference Tournament on Wednesday evening.
The loss moves the Bulldogs to 11-8 overall as DSU will now await a possible ECAC Tournament bid to be announced on Monday afternoon. Misericordia advances to play FDU-Florham in the conference title game on Saturday.
Despite the 5-0 defeat, DeSales did have its just chances out-shooting the Cougars, 20-15 for the game and holding an 11-6 advantage in penalty corners but were unable to get one past MU's
Angela Pasquini who made nine saves in the win.

Jennifer O'Neill scored four of MU's five goals, while
Linsday Hischak had one goal and two assists to lead the way.

Becky Rasmuson made five saves in the cage.
