Box Score
Center Valley, PA (August 30, 2014) – Moravian College broke a 1-1 tie at halftime with two goals in the second-half and the Bulldogs were unable to counter falling to their crosstown rival, 3-1, in the 2014 season opener for both teams on Saturday afternoon.

Moravian opened the game scoring just 2:50 into the contest when Erin Tiwold found the back of the cage.  DeSales rallied and tied the score in the 10th minute when junior Jesse Marshall scored off a feed from senior Alison Malatesta and the game remained tied into halftime.

MC again struck quickly scoring 2:33 into the second-half as Kelly O'Donnell scored off a pass from Cayley Wise and wasted no time adding an insurance goal as Tiwold scored her second unassisted marker of the day just 2:13 later.

DSU did out-shot Moravian, 5-4 in the second-half but was unable to get anything across the goalmouth.  Junior Becky Rasmuson made three saves in the cage.  DeSales also had an 11-9 advantage in penalty corners for the game.

The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, September 3rd when they host Albright College beginning at 4:00 pm.
