Mahwah, NJ (August 30, 2014) – Three first-half goals was all the DeSales University men's soccer team needed blanking John Jay College, 3-0, in the consolation game of the Ramapo College Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
 
Sophomore Wes Frebel put DSU on the board first for the second straight game, scoring unassisted in the 7^th minute for his second tally of the year.
 
It was still a 1-0 game in the 31^st minute when junior Mike Lawler scored off an assist from sophomore Alex Peek and sophomore Damien Grycel finished off the scoring with his first career goal off a feed from junior Patrick Roche.
 
DSU out-shot JJC, 12-9, and had a 9-3 advantage on corner kicks.  Senior Colin Sulpizio made four saves to record his first shutout of the season and the 10^th of his career.
 
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, September 6^th when they travel to Dickinson College beginning at 2:00 pm.
