Box Score Photo GalleryCenter Valley, PA (September 10, 2014) – Three different players had eight or more kills and the DeSales University volleyball team his .253 for the match as a team en route to a 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-21) win over local rival Moravian College on Wednesday evening in Billera Hall.
DSU committed just one error and hit .278 in the opening set, capitalized on 12 hitting errors by Moravian in the second set to win easily, and hit .364 in the third set with 16 kills.
Freshman
Sienna Heist led the way with 10 kills and hit .308, while fellow freshman
Logan Wieziolowski hit .353 with eight kills and senior
Julie Blessing also had eight kills. Senior
Chrissy Banos added three service aces and three blocks.
Sophomore
Lisa Wallitsch finished with 32 assists and had 13 digs and senior
Amanda Wallitsch led the defense with 16 digs.
The Bulldogs return to action on Friday when they take on Colby College and Springfield College at the MIT Tournament.
