Breuning’s Late Tally Helps Bulldogs Earn 1-1 Tie at Elizabethtown

Senior James Breuning scored the game-tying goal with just 1:07 remaining on Sunday at Elizabethtown.

Elizabethtown, PA (September 7, 2014) – Senior James Breuning scored on a header with just 1:07 left to play tying the game at one helping the DeSales University men's soccer team earn a 1-1 double overtime tie at Elizabethtown College on Sunday afternoon.
 
Elizabethtown had taken an early 1-0 lead just 4:19 into the game and continued to lead by goal entering the final stages when sophomore Alex Peek sent in a corner feed where senior Brandon Moninghoff won a header that went right to Breuning who headed the game tying goal inside the near post.
 
Neither team was able to score in two overtime periods as the game ended in a tie.  Senior Colin Sulpizio made eight saves to keep DSU in the game.
 
The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, September 10th when they host Cabrini College for their first home game of the season beginning at 4:00 pm.
