Ryan Rowse and
Bruce Peditto each scored three goals leading the DeSales University men's lacrosse team to a come-from-behind 11-10 win over Wesley College in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (2-2 overall) trailed 5-2 at the start of the second quarter but scored four straight goals to finish the quarter to take a 6-5 lead into the locker room.
Wesley (2-1 overall) scored the first two goals of the third quarter to take a 7-6 lead but three straight markers from DeSales to end the third gave the Bulldogs a 9-7 cushion and unassisted goals from Rowse and senior
Lance Bracale sealed the deal in the fourth quarter as the Wolverines pulled to within one goal with 6:05 but neither team scored the rest of the way as DSU held on for the win.
Peditto added an assist and sophomore
Tyler Newman had a goal and three assists to equal Peditto's four points in the win. Senior
Ryan Loughlin had two goals and Bracale and freshman
Joe Neggia each had a goal and assist in the win.
Junior
Matt Warnken made 12 saves in net and senior
Dylan Baxter won eight face-offs and picked up five ground balls for the Bulldogs. Junior
Tim Barry and senior
Bryan Correnti each had three caused turnovers in the win.
The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday when they travel to Richard Stockton College for another non-conference game beginning at 2:00 pm.
