Men’s Lacrosse Finishes Season with 12-8 Win at DelVal

Doylestown, PA (April 25, 2015) – The DeSales University men's lacrosse team scored six straight goals to open the second half leading to a 12-8 win over Delaware Valley University on Saturday afternoon in the Freedom Conference finale for both teams.
 
The Bulldogs finish the season with a 5-8 overall mark and 2-4 in the Freedom Conference.  DSU led 2-1 after one quarter before the Aggies out-scored tied the game at five in the second quarter heading into the half.
 
DeSales exploded in the third quarter scoring three unanswered goals in the third quarter and opened the fourth quarter with three straight goals to take an 11-5 lead and the Bulldogs never looked back from there.
 
Freshman Joe Neggia led DSU in scoring with three goals and an assist.  Senior Ryan Loughlin, senior Nate Blevins, and senior Ryan Rowse each had two goals and freshman Josh Harman, sophomore Justin Wilson, and sophomore Jake McNamara all had one goal to round out the scoring.
 
Freshman Freddy Harris, McNamara, and senior Bruce Peditto all had assists.  Junior Matt Warnken made 13 saves in the win and senior Dylan Baxter won 13 face-offs and picked up five ground balls for DeSales.  Sophomore Sean Palen had nine ground balls and junior Tim Barry had eight ground balls.
