Men’s Soccer Suffers First Loss at Elizabethtown

Elizabethtown, PA (September 6, 2015) – The DeSales University men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season falling to Elizabethtown College, 2-0, in the championship game of the Brothers Pizza Blue Jay/Red Devil Classic at Elizabethtown College.
 
ETown (3-0) took a 1-0 lead just 7:02 into the game that stood into the half as the Blue Jays held a 7-4 edge in shots over the first 45 minutes.
 
EC added an insurance goal in the 53rd minute and the Bulldogs were unable to find the back of the net.
 
Elizabethtown finished with a 20-8 advantage in shots and took all nine corner kicks in the game in the second-half.
 
Sophomore Dan Sulpizio made five saves in net for the Bulldogs.
 
DSU returns to action on Wednesday when it travels to Cabrini College for another non-conference game beginning at 6:30 pm.
