Wilkes-Barre, PA (October 27, 2016) - The DeSales University field hockey dropped its final game of the season, 2-0, at King's College in MAC Freedom action on a rainy Thursday evening.
The Bulldogs finish the season with a 6-12 overall record and a 1-6 mark in the MAC Freedom. Â DSU doubles its win total from one season ago and earned a win over Manhattanville College, who finished the season as the third seed in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament.
DeSales fought hard on Thursday night holding the Monarchs (11-6, 5-2 MAC Freedom) scoreless thru the first-half  KC got on the board 7:24 into the second-half whenÂ
Kelsey Gabriele pushed home a loose ball in front of the cage and King's got its insurance goal with just 1:06 left to play to provide the final tally.
King's out-shot DeSales, 14-2, for the game and had 9-5 edge in penalty corners.
