Harrisonburg, VA (September 4, 2016) - The DeSales University men's soccer team erased an early 1-0 deficit to earn its first win of the season, 2-1, over Eastern Mennonite University on Sunday afternoon.

EMU (1-1-1) took a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute on a goal from Juan Luna but the Bulldogs (1-2) tied it up just under six minutes later when sophomore Justin Habick scored on a PK as the game stayed tied into the half.

The contest seemed destined for OT before sophomore AJ Schroettner slotted a pass thru to fellow sophomore Zach Reichard who scored with 5:52 left to play giving DSU its first victory of the year.

Both teams had 14 shots with DeSales holding a 7-3 edge in shots on goal.  The Bulldogs had a 6-4 edge in corner kicks.  Senior Ryan O'Neill made two saves in the net.

DeSales returns to action on Wednesday when they host Cabrini College in a non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
