Dallas, PA (January 21, 2017) – The DeSales University men's basketball team dropped its third straight falling at Misericordia University, 99-76, in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

Senior Ryan Callahan led the Bulldogs with a game-high tying 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting and junior Connor Jones finished with a season-high 20 points in the loss.   Senior Brian Laird had nine points and senior Kuity Slanger finished with seven points and a game-high eight assists.

DeSales started quickly taking a 9-2 lead early after a three from Laird and led 14-12 after a Jones triple but a 21-5 run over the next 4:41 gave the Cougars a 33-19 lead.  DSU (11-6, 3-3 MAC Freedom) chipped away and got within four points (45-41) with 4:05 to go in the half on another Jones three but Misericordia scored the final three points of the half as both teams went ice cold over the final four minutes to take a 48-41 lead into the locker room.

The Bulldogs were within 10 points (65-55) at the 14:15 mark on a jumper from Slanger but MU used a 15-6 run over the next 4:20 to push the lead up to 19 points and MU never looked back from there.
