Michael Kirby (Bensalem, PA) scored the game's lone goal midway thru the first-half leading the DeSales University men's soccer team past Manhattanville College, 1-0, in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday afternoon.
Kirby's goal was impressive as he beat two defenders along the left side, dribbling into the box, and lofting a soft shot inside the near post and the upper 90 for his fifth tally of the year at 23:39.
The win is DSU's 10th in its last 12 games as the Bulldogs are now a school-record unbeaten in 12 straight games. DeSales now has nine shutouts on the season as a team, two shy of tying the single-season record.
