Catholic (1-2) got a game-high 22 points and nine rebounds from Jay Howard on 9-for-21 shooting and Isaiah Godwin added 12 points and Andre Mitchell finished with 10 points in the loss.

After DSU scored eight of the first 10 points of the game, the Cardinals battled back to take an 11-10 lead as the game went back-and-forth till the eight minute mark of the first-half when the Bulldogs took control.  With the game tied at 22, Dawson-Amoah converted a three-point play and back-to-back three-pointers from Jones and sophomore Tracy Simsick (Harleysville, PA) pushed the advantage to double digits (35-25) with 2:41 to go in the first-half as DeSales led 38-27 into the halftime locker room.

The lead grew to 13 twice early in the second-half before a quick 6-0 Cardinal run pulled the visitor's within seven points at the 15:55 mark but back-to-back buckets from Jones and senior Shaundell Fishburne (Southampton, NY) pushed the lead back to 11 points and the advantage grew to as many as 16 points (66-50) with 2:32 to go before the final tally was posted.

In addition to holding CU to just 35.4 percent shooting, DSU converted 53.8 percent from the field.  The Bulldogs controlled the glass out-rebounding the Cardinals, 40-33, and saw their bench out-score Catholic's, 25-7, for the game.
