.Union, NJ (February 23, 2017) - The DeSales University baseball team dropped a non-conference game at Kean University, 10-5, on an unseasonably warm Thursday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (1-3) led 1-0 after an RBI single from seniorÂ
Tommy DePaul and tacked on two more runs in the top of the fifth inning to take a 3-2 lead on an RBI triple from DePaul and a deep sacrifice fly from seniorÂ

Kean (4-0) answered DSU's top of the fifth with a six-run bottom half to take an 8-3 lead. Â DeSales looked to be out of the inning with runners on first and second and one out but an error on a double play extended the inning as KU scored three unearned runs to break the game open.
KU added two more in the sixth inning to make it 10-3 before the Bulldogs tacked on solo runs in the seventh and ninth on an RBI single from seniorÂ

Preston Amato tripled and scored on a wild pitch in the ninth.

The Bulldogs are back in action in two weeks as they head south for Florida to play six games during spring break.
