Big Second-Half Upends Women's Lacrosse at Moravian, 19-5

Bethlehem, PA (March 25, 2017) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team fell to local rival Moravian College, 19-5, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (3-6) played a very competitive first-half trailing by just five (10-5) at the break winning 9-of-16 first-half draw controls and scoring three of the last five goals to pull within five at the break.

Moravian (4-2) took control in the second-half winning 7-of-10 draw controls and out-scoring the Bulldogs, 9-0, to record the win.

Junior Kelly Meade led the scoring attack with three goals and had a team-high four ground balls.  Sophomore Sydney Kane and freshman Katie Kingsland also scored for the Bulldogs.  Junior Danielle Burke had three caused turnovers and sophomore Amanda Foley led the way with five draw controls.

Sophomore Lori King made 12 saves in between the pipes.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday when they host Rosemont College in another non-conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
