Women's Lacrosse Wraps up Inaugural Season with Loss to Misericordia

Center Valley, PA (April 29, 2017) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team wrapped up its first season in the history of the program falling to Misericordia University, 17-1, in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs finish their inaugural season with a 5-12 overall record and a 1-6 mark in the MAC Freedom.

DSU hung tight with Misericordia (11-3, 6-1 MAC Freedom) for the first 13 minutes of the game trailing by just three (3-0) before the Cougars finished the first-half on a 12-1 run over a 13 minute span putting the game out of reach.

The Cougars out-shot DeSales, 28-3, and won 13 draw controls.

The Bulldogs' lone goal came from sophomore Sydney Kane assisted by junior Sydney Mursko.  Sophomore Lori King made nine saves.  Freshman Katarina Polyviou had three caused turnovers and junior Danielle Burke finished with three ground balls.
