Doylestown, PA (April 5, 2017) - The DeSales University men's tennis team earned its first MAC Freedom win of the season blanking Delaware Valley University, 9-0, on Wednesday afternoon.
DSU (3-7, 1-1 MAC Freedom) took a 3-0 lead sweeping all three doubles match as sophomoreÂ
Jorey Ferraro and freshmanÂ
Jake McKinney teamed to win 8-2 at No. 1 doubles.  SophomoreÂ
Josh Ferraro and seniorÂ
Jeffrey Julien won 8-3 at the No. 2 spot and freshmanÂ
Ben Greb and juniorÂ
Brian Hayhurst won 8-0 at the No. 3 position.
In singles play
Jorey Ferraro won a hard fought 7-6 (7-4), 6-0 match at the No. 1 spot, Julien was a 6-1, 6-1 winner in the No. 2 spot, and Greb won 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 3 hole. Â
Josh Ferraro, McKinney, and Hayhurst then rounded out the winners in the final three singles spots by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores.
The Bulldogs are scheduled to be back in action tomorrow when they host Bryn Athyn College in a non-conference match beginning at 3:00 pm.
