Men's Lacrosse Falls to Eastern in MAC Freedom Semifinals, 12-3

St. David's, PA (May 3, 2017) - Eastern University scored the last eight goals of the game, including all six in the second-half, ending the DeSales University men's lacrosse season with a 12-3 loss in the semifinals of the MAC Freedom postseason tournament on Wednesday afternoon.

After falling behind 4-1, the Bulldogs (7-8) got a goal from senior Tyler Newman with three seconds left in the first quarter and sophomore John Ramos scored unassisted to start the second quarter scoring pulling DSU within one (4-3) with 10:57 left in the half.

The game was scoreless over the next 7+ minutes before EU regained a two-goal lead with 3:28 left and took all the momentum into the halftime locker room with another tally just 22 seconds before the half.

The second-half was all Eagles as they scored three times in the first 2:24 of the third quarter and never looked back in the win.

Sophomore Tom Pryor scored DSU's first goal of the game and senior Justin Wilson added an assist in the loss.

Freshman Frank Krug wrapped up his sensational rookie season with six ground balls and five caused turnovers and sophomore Matt Barry made 11 stops in the net.
