St. David's, PA (May 3, 2017) - Eastern University scored the last eight goals of the game, including all six in the second-half, ending the DeSales University men's lacrosse season with a 12-3 loss in the semifinals of the MAC Freedom postseason tournament on Wednesday afternoon.
After falling behind 4-1, the Bulldogs (7-8) got a goal from seniorÂ
Tyler Newman with three seconds left in the first quarter and sophomoreÂ
John Ramos scored unassisted to start the second quarter scoring pulling DSU within one (4-3) with 10:57 left in the half.
The game was scoreless over the next 7+ minutes before EU regained a two-goal lead with 3:28 left and took all the momentum into the halftime locker room with another tally just 22 seconds before the half.
The second-half was all Eagles as they scored three times in the first 2:24 of the third quarter and never looked back in the win.
