Center Valley, PA (September 29, 2017) - The DeSales University women's tennis team opened the 2017 fall season in dominating fashion sweeping all nine matches in a 9-0 win over Cedar Crest College on Tuesday afternoon.

#1 Flight
In singles action senior Kelly Nguyen (Macungie, PA) earned a 6-0, 6-0 win over Kristina Litonjua and teamed with sophomore Amber Achenbach (Wind Gap, PA) to win 8-0 in the doubles match.

#2 Flight
Sophomore Sarah Lightner (Warminster, PA) earned a 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 2 singles spot over Taylor Doran and teamed with graduate student Sophia Chen (Edison, NJ) to win 8-0 in No. 2 doubles.

#3 Flight
Sophomore Sarah Chan (Cerritos, CA) won 6-0, 6-1 over Beth Kistler at the No. 3 singles spot and freshman Alex Rodier (Clayton, NJ) and sophomore Amanda Becker (Camp Hill, PA) won 8-0 in the No. 3 doubles position.

#4 Flight
Rodier also earned a win in singles winning, 6-0, 6-0 in her first career collegiate match over Cassidy Marzzacco.

#5 Flight
Freshman Sabrina Ricciardi (Staten Island, NY) shook off a loss in the first set to win 3-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-6) over Katherine Naples in her first career collegiate match.

#6 Flight
Sophomore Kelsey Kazlauskas (Wyndmoor, PA) rouneded out the winners earning a 6-0, 6-0 win over Andrea Abdale.

DeSales is back in action on Friday when they travel to Albright College for a non-conference match set to begin at 3:30 pm.
