Dorsheimer's OT Game-Winner Hands Women's Soccer 1-0 Win over Manhattanville

Center Valley, PA (October 10, 2018) - Freshman Natalie Dorsheimer broke a scoreless tie just 3:23 into the first overtime period giving the DeSales University women's soccer team a 1-0 win over Manhattanville College in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday afternoon.

How it Happened
  • The Bulldogs dominated the flow of play most of the afternoon missing on several point blank chances as the game went into overtime.
  • DSU nearly won the game in the first 20 seconds of the extra period with three consecutive shots inside 10-15 yards that were off the mark or saved.
  • The game-winner came as freshman Meghan Corbran played a ball over the top to Dorsheimer who out-raced a Valiant defender to the end line and scored inside the near post.

  • It was Dorsheimer's third goal of the season and her third game-winner.
  • Corbran's assist was her first of the year.
  • Senior Haley Jacobs made three saves to record her third shutout of the year.
