Men's Soccer Falls to Eastern in OT, 1-0

Center Valley, PA (October 20, 2018) - The DeSales University men's soccer team forced overtime but dropped a 1-0 decision to Eastern University in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
  • The Bulldogs played some extraordinary defense and freshman TJ Corcoran stood on his head a few times with some miraculous saves to force overtime with the undefeated (in conference play) Eagles.
  • EU got its game-winner just 3:46 into the extra period as Bryce Wahinya scored his goal of the season off a touch pass in the box from Cade Harmon.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Corcoran finished with eight saves in the win including a diving punch in the upper 90 in the first-half and a few from point blank range.
  • Sophomore Josh Richards also saved a ball off the line to preserve the shutout at the time in overtime.
For the Foes
  • Anthony Hitchcock made three saves in the win.

  • Eastern had a 20-5 advantage in shots and a 10-3 edge in shots on goal.
