Wilkes-Barre, PA (October 20, 2018) - The DeSales University women's tennis team posted two runners-up finishes in doubles action competing on day two of the MAC Individual Tournament on Saturday.

Kirsten Kosa moved into the championship match with an 8-4 win over Davidson/Waskiewicz (Stevenson) but fell in the title match to Valera-Seri/Yakhnis (Wilkes), 8-4, to finish as the runners-up.

Bailey Greco also advanced into the semifinals on Friday evening winning its first match on Saturday, 8-7 (7-3) overa the top seed Keeny/Capozzoli (FDU-Florham) to advance into the championship match where they fell, 8-2 to Markle/Volutza (Wilkes).

Amber Achenbach won her first match 6-3, 6-1 over Aubrey Errickson (Delaware Valley) but fell in the quarterfinals, 6-0, 6-0 to Emily Fernandez (King's).

Kosa earned a 6-2, 6-0 win in the first round over Natalie Coffee (King's) before falling in a tough three set match to the top seed, Tess Weber (Arcadia), 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 1-0 (10-7).
#3 Singles
Rodier was a 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (10-4) winner over Martina Gale (King's) in the first round before falling to Rebekah Adams (Messiah), 7-5, 7-6 (7-3) in the quarterfinals.

Chan earned a 6-2, 6-1 win in the first round over Ally Dugan (Lycoming) before falling to Emily Cruz-Pineda (Arcadia), 6-4, 6-3 in the quarterfinals.

Natalie Clarke lost in the opening round, 6-1, 4-6, 1-0 (10-2) to Cassandra Bean (Alvernia).

Greco played two hard fought sets earning a 6-7 (7-3), 6-3, 1-0 (10-8) win over Alexis Zalutko (King's) in the first round before falling to the #2 seed, Rachel Rineer (Alvernia), 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-5).
