Gabby Savite` had a double-double with 14 kills and 23 digs leading the DeSales University volleyball team past FDU-Florham, 3-0, in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament semifinals on Wednesday evening.

Notes
- DSU has now advanced to the MAC Freedom Championship match for the eighth straight year and for the 11th time in team history.
- The Bulldogs will host Eastern University in the championship on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
- During the game it was released that DeSales also became regionally ranked in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Rankings, coming in at #11, for the first time this season.
How it Happened
- DeSales dominated the first set opening up an 8-1 lead and never really looked back, siding out 81% of the time in the first set.
- DSU got off to a slow start in the second set but rebounded mid-way thru to pull away for a 25-17 win.
- The Bulldogs fell well behind in third set, trailing by six at the midway point before tying the game at 15 and eventually pulling away for the straight set win.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Savite` recorded her 20th double-double of the season in the win and added two aces and two blocks.
- Senior Natalie Gray had 18 digs and freshman Audrey Wolfe played well with 37 assists and 10 digs.
- Sophomore Maddy Felty was a force at the net with five kills, hitting .556, with a match-high six blocks.
- Sophomore Grace Merritt added eight kills and three blocks and junior Jess Smith finished with four aces.
For the Foes
- Lauren Harris also recorded a double-double with 12 kills and 21 digs.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales hit .265 as a team as compared to just .039 for the Devils.
- DSU had eight team blocks and seven service aces.
