Wilkes-Barre, PA (October 32, 2018) - The DeSales University women's soccer team was unable to erase a two-goal deficit falling at Wilkes University, 2-1, in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament semifinals on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened
- Wilkes scored the first two goals of the game in the 11th and 22nd minutes to take a 2-0 lead.
- DeSales pulled to within one just 5:33 before the half to gain some of the momentum back when freshman Gabby Torchia headed home a corner kick feed from fellow freshman Natalie Dorsheimer.
- The Bulldogs were unable to find the tying goal in the second half despite out-shooting Wilkes, 6-4, over the final 45 minutes.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Torchia's goal was the third of the season, while Dorsheimer's assist gave her a team-high 16 points on the year.
- Senior Haley Jacobs had five saves in between the pipes.
For the Foes
- Nicolette Towlen and Delfina Bracchi scored the Colonel's two goals.
- Emily Bidelspach, Haley Evans, and Jessica Egan all had assists in the win.
- Samantha Cecere made two saves.
