Tracy Simsick scored a career-high 29 points leading the DeSales University men's basketball team past Rosemont College, 100-89, in the 2018-19 season home opener on Tuesday evening.

- DSU used a 7-0 run early to take a 15-9 lead before a 14-5 run mid-way thru the first-half pushed Rosemont to a 30-24 advantage at the 8:56 mark.
- The Bulldogs responded with a 16-3 run to take a 40-33 lead on two 3's from junior Julian Wing and five straight points from freshman Keba Mitchell.
- The Ravens closed the half out-scoring DeSales, 9-4, to trail by just two (44-42) at the break.
- Rosemont took control early in the second-half opening up a 10-point lead (69-59) at the 12 minute mark.
- DeSales trailed by nine points (70-61) at the 10:52 mark when they took the momentum, out-scoring Rosemont, 32-11, over the next 8:15 to take a 93-81 lead, putting the game away.
- Simsick led DSU with 10 points during the spurt, while sophomore Timmy Edwards added six and freshman Keba Mitchell had five.

- Simsick shot 10-for-17 from the field and hit 6-for-12 from outside the arc to card his career-high.
- Wing also had a career-high with 17 points and added four assists.
- Pratt finished with 13 points and seven assists, hitting 11-of-12 from the free throw line.
- Mitchell and sophomore Mike Bealer each had 12 points, while Mitchell pulled down a team-high tying six rebounds.
- Sophomore Matt Kachelries had a game-high tying seven assists in his Billera Hall debut.
For the Foes
- Keith Blassingale finished with 24 points and Jalil Myers had a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds.
- Jacob Simonson added 15 points and Basil Thompson also reached double figures with 11 points.
