Center Valley, PA (November 2, 2018) - The DeSales University volleyball and field hockey teams will both being chasing MAC Freedom Championships tomorrow afternoon after earning wins in the semifinals on Wednesday evening.
Below is a brief preview of each of the finals matchups taking place on Saturday afternoon:
Field Hockey (#2 seed @ #1 seed FDU-Florham - 1:00 PM - Live Stats - Live Video)
DSU earned its second straight trip to the MAC Freedom Championship game with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Wilkes University in the semifinals. JuniorÂ

Hannah Williams scored DSU's three goals with Honnick-Payne scoring twice. The Bulldogs will be looking for its first-ever MAC Freedom title after making its first-ever appearance in the championship game last season, a 2-0 loss at Misericordia University. DSU and FDU last played back on September 21st with the Devils taking a 1-0 decision over the Bulldogs to earn the postseason tournament's top seed. It will be the second career meeting between these two teams in the conference postseason with DeSales holding a 1-0 edge after a 2-0 win in the semifinals last year.
Volleyball (#1 seed hosting #2 Eastern University - 2:00 PM - Live Stats - Live Video)
The Bulldogs are back in the MAC Freedom Championship match for the eighth straight year looking for their first title since winning the conference crown back in 2007. DeSales earned its spot in the final with a 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-21) win over FDU-Florham in the semifinals. DSU and Eastern met nearly two months ago on September 12th in the first MAC Freedom match of the season with the Bulldogs earning a 3-1 (25-15, 25-22, 19-25, 25-18) win over the Eagles. This will be the 10th career meeting between the teams in the conference postseason having played every year since 2008.
