Center Valley, PA (April 8, 2018) - The DeSales University men's tennis team swept all nine matches earning a 9-0 win over Delaware Valley University to stay unbeaten in MAC Freedom play on a chilly Sunday afternoon.
Doubles
Junior
Jorey Ferraro and freshman
Danny Lynn earned an 8-3 win in the No. 1 spot, freshman
Dominic Ferraro and sophomore
Jake McKinney won 8-1 in the No. 2 flight, and senior
Brian Hayhurst and freshman
Cameron Germano won 8-1 in the No. 3 slot.
Singles
Lynn earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at the No. 1 flight, Jor. Ferraro won 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 2 spot, D. Ferraro was a 6-2, 6-2 winner in the No. 3 flight, and sophomore
Ben Greb won 6-2, 6-2 in the No. 4 flight. McKinney was a 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 winner in the No. 5 spot and junior
Austin Wesch won 6-0, 6-0 in the final flight.
The match benefitted Monday at Racine's in which the DeSales teams remembered friends and family by wearing their Monday at Racine purple shirts. Together with the men's team, the Bulldogs raised $500 to donate to the organization, a non-profit cancer care program, from proceeds raised at today's match.
