Center Valley, PA (April 9, 2018) - The DeSales University women's tennis team won its sixth straight match defeating Alvernia University, 7-2, in non-conference action on another chilly Monday afternoon.
Doubles
DSU took two of three doubles matches as sophomores
Kelsey Kazlauskas and
Joanie Miller teamed to win 8-6 at the No. 2 spot and a pair of freshman in
Sabrina Ricciardi and
Maria Tran earned an 8-1 win in the No. 3 flight.
Singles
Senior
Kelly Nguyen had a comeback win at the No. 1 flight defeatingÂ
Cassandra Noray, 0-6, 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (10-5). Freshman
Alex Rodier was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at the No. 3 flight, sophomore
Sarah Chan earned a 6-3, 6-3 win at the No. 4 flight, freshman
Gabby Serratore won 6-2, 6-0 at the No. 5 flight, and sophomore
Amanda Becker was a 6-0, 6-0 winner in No. 6 singles.
The Bulldogs are slated to return to action on Wednesday when they travel to FDU-Florham for a MAC Freedom match set to begin at 3:30 pm.
