Wayne, NJ (September 16, 2018) - The DeSales University field hockey team out-shot and out cornered William Paters University but dropped a 2-1 decision in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

• The Bulldogs dominated play but just couldn't find the back of the cage in the first-half as WPU scored at 18:46 to take a 1-0 first-half lead.
• The Pioneers made it 2-0 at 49:12 before DSU scored just less than three minutes later to pull within a goal at 52:06.
• DeSales was unable to find the tying tally falling victim on the road by just one goal for the third time this season.

• Sophomore Erin Chioffe scored DSU's lone goal in the second off an assist from junior Julia DeLuca.
• Junior Katarina Polyviou made two saves in the loss.

• WPU got goals from Hope Addlesberger and Haley Olsen in the win.
