York, PA (September 16, 2018) - The DeSales University women's soccer team was unable to hang onto a one goal lead in the second-half falling at York College (PA), 2-1, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened

• DSU struck after a scoreless first-half just 5:28 into the second-half when freshman Sam Riccardi scored off an assist from freshman Gabby Torchia.
• York evened the score just under 13 minutes later and got the eventual game-winner in the 74th minute as the Bulldogs were unable to find the tying marker.

Top Bulldog Performers

• The goal from Riccardi was her second and moved her into first place in scoring on the team with five points.
• It was Torchia's first career assist.
• Sophomore Lia Gaccione made six saves in the loss.

• Caitlin Rankin had a goal and an assist and Rachel Wilhelm scored YC's game-tying goal.
• Sydney Kahn finished with three saves in goal.
