Gray Records 2,000th Dig in 3-0 Win at Delaware Valley

Doylestown, PA (September 18, 2018) - Senior Natalie Gray became the third player in team history to record her 2,000th career dig as the DeSales University volleyball team won its third straight, 3-0, over Delaware Valley University.

How it Happened
  • The Buldogs hit .227 for the match in dominating the Aggies for their 16th straight win over Delaware Valley.
  • DSU never trailed in the match and saw four different players record 7+ kills in the win.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Gray made history totaling 13 digs, needing just four entering the match to become the third player in team history with 2,000 career digs.  Amanda Wallitsch is the all-time leader with 2,155 career digs.
  • Sophomore Grace Merritt and junior Morghan Shoemaker each had nine kills in the win.
  • Senior Gabby Savite` added eight kills and seven digs, while sophomore Noel Kelly finished with seven kills.
  • Freshman Audrey Wolfe finished with 27 assists and three aces.
  • Junior Cristal Fernandez added 10 digs.
For the Foes
  • Kayla Bracken had a team-high seven kills and 10 digs.
Inside the Box Score
  • The Bulldogs had double-digit kills in each set and were able to side out 65% of the time in the win.
