Scranton, PA (December 16, 2019) - The DeSales University men's basketball team dropped its third straight decision falling at the University of Scranton, 73-48, in non-conference action on Monday evening.

- Tonight's meeting was the 23rd meeting between the former conference rivals but the first since 2007. The Scranton broke a tie of 11 wins each with UofS taking a 12-11 lead in the all-time series.
How it Happened
- DeSales scored the first four points of the game before the Royals used a 12-2 run to take a 12-6 lead lead early in the opening half.
- The advantage hovered around eight points nearly the entire half and was still eight with 2:54 to go before Scranton finished the half scoring seven straight points to take a 36-21 lead into the locker room.
- In the second-half DeSales was unable to break into the deficit any further continuing to trail by 15 at the 11:36 mark before the Royals took its largest lead (27 points) late in the second-half to pull away.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Junior Mike Bealer was the lone double digit scorer for the Bulldogs with 11 points off the bench.
- Senior Ben Pratt had nine points, also off the bench.
For the Foes
- Logan Bailey had a game-high 15 tallies and Matthew Mancuso finished with a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds in the win.
- Kyle DeVerna and Stephen Braunstein each had 11 points.
Inside the Box Score
- DSU shot a season-low 32.1 percent from the field.
- Scranton took advantage of 18 Bulldog turnover scoring 22 points off those miscues.
- The DeSales bench did out-score Scranton's, 28-23.
