Center Valley, PA (February 28, 2019) - Both the DeSales University men's and women's basketball teams will open play in the NCAA Tournament First Round on Friday with the men on the road vs. York College (PA), while the women will the 1st/2nd round on Friday and Saturday hosting Shenandoah University on Friday.

The Bulldogs will take on York College (PA) on Friday in the NCAA Tournament 1st Round at Randolph-Macon College at 5:30 pm. If you are unable to get down south to Randolph-Macon College, you can follow the action online via

This is DSU's first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since the 2014 season when DSU upset Randolph-Macon College on its home floor in the NCAA Tournament first round. DSU is 7-15 all-time vs. York College, but Friday's meeting will be the first since the 2005-06 season.

The #10/15 ranked Bulldogs welcome Shenandoah University to Billera Hall as its first round opponent and will also host Middlebury College and John Carroll University in the other first round matchup in Billera Hall on Friday evening. Middlebury and John Carroll will get things started at 5:00 pm, with the Bulldogs hosting the Hornets at 7:00 pm.

This is DeSales' second appearance in the NCAA Tournament in the last three years. DSU fell to Husson University two years ago in the first round. The Bulldogs are 6-0 all-time vs. Shenandoah but the two teams have not met since the 1992-93 season, a span of 26 years.
