Krug Sets Record in Men's Lacrosse 6-5 Win over Moravian

Center Valley, PA (March 13, 2019) - Junior Frank Krug broke the record for most caused turnovers in a game leading the DeSales University men's lacrosse team past local rival Moravian College, 6-5, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

  • It is DSU's best start to a season in program history.
  • The six wins is already just two shy of a school-record for wins in a season (8 set in 2013).

How it Happened
  • DeSales never trailed in this low scoring affair, scoring three of the first goals to take a 3-1 lead early in the third quarter.
  • Moravian tied the game at three before the Bulldog scored three straight to take a 6-3 advantage with eight minutes left in the game.
  • The Greyhounds scored twice in the span of 1:27 to get within a goal with 2:57 to go but the Bulldogs defense stood tall over the final three minutes to ice the win.

  • Austin Adams finished with a game-high three goals.
  • Jack Gozzard and Alex Oriolo also each had a goal.
  • Kurt Dick finished with eight saves.

  • DeSales had a 37-29 advantage in shots, while the Greyhounds had a slim 33-32 edge in ground balls.
