Swarthmore, PA (March 26, 2019) - The DeSales University baseball team saw its four-game win streak snapped in a 13-5 loss at #4 Swarthmore College in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

How it Happened

• Trailing 6-2 in the seventh inning, senior Charlie Barebo hit a two-run home run to pull DSU within two runs but the Garnet Tide answered with two more runs in the bottom half of the inning and put up five runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to put the game out of reach.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Junior Mike White led the Bulldogs with three hits.
• Senior Preston Amato, junior Sergio Diaz, freshman Isaiah Goodman, and junior Evan Plummer all had two hits in the loss.
• Freshman JJ Paul pitched well despite the loss allowing four hits and three earned runs over five innings pitched.

For the Foes

• J. Gillen and J. Roberts each knocked in three runs to lead the Garnet Tide at the plate.

Inside the Box Score

• DeSales out-hit Swarthmore, 13-10, but the Bulldogs made four errors.
• The Garnet Tide drew six walks and were hit by a pitch four times.
