Orlando, FL (March 4, 2019) - The DeSales University women's tennis team earned a split of two matches on day one of its spring break trip down south on Monday.
Match One (W/7-2 vs. Adrian College)
DSU opened the match winning all three doubles matches as juniorsÂ
Kelsey Kazlauskas andÂ
Amber Achenbach won 8-2 in the No. 1 flight, sophomoreÂ
Alex Rodier and freshmanÂ
Kirsten Kosa won 8-1 in the No. 2 spot, and juniorÂ
Sarah Chan and freshmanÂ
Annie Rakos won 8-0 in the No. 3 flight.
In singles action Achenbach won 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 2 flight, Kosa earned a 6-4, 6-1 win at the No. 3 flight, Rodier won 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 4 slot, and Chan was a 6-4, 6-2 winner in the No. 5 flight.
Match Two (L/1-8 vs. Emerson College)
The Bulldogs were unable to sweep the days competition falling to Emerson College. DSU's lone point came at No. 4 singles where Rakos won 6-1, 6-2.
