Winter Haven, FL (March 6, 2019) - The DeSales University dropped two one-run games late on Wednesday in Florida falling to St. Joseph's (ME), 6-5, and Trine University, 3-2.
Game One (L/5-6 vs. St. Joseph's College (ME))
After the Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead in the first inning, St. Joseph's College scored in each of the first three innings to take a 5-1 lead.
DeSales battled back with three runs in the fifth and one more in the sixth to tie the game at five before St. Joseph's got the game-winner in the bottom of the eighth inning and the Bulldogs were unable to tie it in the ninth.

Charlie Barebo had three hits and knocked in two runs, while fellow seniorÂ
Preston Amato scored three times.
JuniorÂ
Ryan Passaro pitched well in a no-decision allowing seven hits and just two earned runs over seven innings, striking out two.
Game Two (L/2-3 vs. Trine University)
Trine led 2-0 on runs in the first and fifth inning before the Bulldogs tied the game at two on runs in the seventh and eighth innings. DSU appeared to have taken a 3-2 lead on a sacrifice fly in the eighth but the runner scoring was called out for leaving the base early and after coming up empty in the ninth, Trine scored to earn the 3-2 walk-off win.

Dillon Drew each had two hits in the loss.
FreshmanÂ
JJ Paul pitched well going five innings, allowing just two hits and one earned run, striking out six. Fellow freshmanÂ
Billy Scanlon also pitched well with 2 2/3 scoreless innings of relief allowing just one hit.
