Purchase, NY (April 30, 2019) - The DeSales University men's tennis saw its 2019 season come to an end with a 5-1 loss at Manhattanville College in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament semifinals on Tuesday afternoon.

The Bulldogs entered as the #3 seed, the highest playoff seeding in team history.

DSU earned its lone point at No. 3 doubles as freshman Nolan Beck and junior Ahmad Kanan won a hard-fought match, 8-7.

Leading 2-1 after the doubles matches, the Valiants won the singles matches at the No. 2, 3, and 4 spots to earn the necessary five points ending the match.

DeSales was leading in two of the three unfinished matches.

The Bulldogs season ends with a 9-8 overall record, the second straight season DSU has won 9 matches, the second most in team history.
