Center Valley, PA (May 1, 2019) - The DeSales University women's tennis team defeated FDU-Florham, 5-2, in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament semifinals to advance to the MAC Freedom title match for the second time in the last three years.
DeSales will take on Wilkes University on Saturday with match time to be determind. It is DSU's fourth trip to the MAC Freedom championship match and the second in the last three years.
Doubles
DSU took a 2-1 lead after doubles play as sophomoreÂ
Alex Rodier and freshmanÂ
Kirsten Kosa won the final four games of the match for an 8-3 win in the No. 2 flight and seniorÂ
Sarah Chan and freshmanÂ
Annie Rakos won 8-4 in the No. 3 spot.
Singles
The Bulldogs closed out the match with wins in the No. 2, 3, and 6 singles spots. Kosa won 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 2 flight, her 12th straight singles win this season. Rakos was a 6-3, 6-3 winner in the No. 3 spot and freshmab
Bailey Greco earned a 6-3, 6-1 win in the No. 3 flight.
