Men's Soccer Opens Season with 2-1 Win at Goucher

Baltimore, MD (August 30, 2019) - The DeSales University men's soccer team opened the season with a 2-1 win over Goucher College on Friday evening.

How it Happened
  • A scoreless game into the 42nd minute saw DSU take a 1-0 lead into the half when freshman Sean Murray scored just 3:05 before the halftime buzzer.
  • Goucher tied the game at one in the 62nd minute but DeSales needed just 2:53 to reclaim the lead.
  • Goucher had a PK to tie the game with about 15 minutes left but the shot missed the goal entirely and the Bulldogs defense held the rest of the way.
