Center Valley, PA (August 30, 2019) - The DeSales University women's soccer team got two goals from freshman Allie Trick en route to a 5-1 win over Alvernia University in the 2019 season opener for both teams on Friday afternoon.

How it Happened

• DSU scored the first three goals of the game to take a 3-0 lead with two in the first-half and another just 2:01 into the second-half.
• The Golden Wolves got on the board in the 62nd minute but the Bulldogs answered with two more over the final 27 minutes to post the final tally.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Trick opened her career with two tallies off the bench including the second and fourth goals.
• Junior Annie Brush got the scoring started scoring in the 15th minute on an assist from Sam Riccardi.
• Sophomore Vanessa Atie and freshman Sam Monteforte also scored.
• Freshman Sydney Riegel, Katie Padgett, and Mackenzie Murphy all had assists in the win.
• Junior Lia Gaccione didn't need to make a save in goal.

For the Foes

• AU's goal came off the foot of Grace Silva and was assisted by Taylor Gough.
• Lily Sankey and Riley Scepansky combined to make six saves in goal.
