Freshmen Combine for Four Goals in Field Hockey 4-1 Win over Cedar Crest

Center Valley, PA (September 1, 2019) - Freshman Tyra Wingle scored two more goals and the DeSales University field hockey team got all four goals from freshmen in a 4-1 win over Cedar Crest College on Sunday afternoon the 2019 season home opener.

How it Happened
  • DeSales scored once in all four quarters and held the Falcons without a shot in quarters two and three in the win.
  • The Bulldogs never trailed in the game scoring the first goal of the game at 4:28 before CCC tied it with 1:58 left in the first quarter.
  • DSU needed just 1:44 into the second quarter to reclaim a lead they never relinquished.
